A streamlined approach to professional team photography—designed to scale with your program.

What Is a Media Day?

Media Day sessions are designed to create polished, consistent imagery for teams and organizations in a single, well-planned shoot. These sessions typically include a mix of individual portraits, small group photos, and team images—captured efficiently so everyone stays on schedule.

Whether working with a small group or a large, multi-team program, the focus is on creating versatile images that work across websites, social media, schedules, banners, and promotional materials, while keeping the experience organized and stress-free for players, coaches, and staff.

"Carlos Sanchez is hands down the best photographer we’ve ever worked with. He’s been capturing the Woodinville High School soccer program for three years now, and every season he somehow outdoes himself. His photos are amazing — full of energy, emotion, and story — but what truly sets him apart is how deeply invested he is in our team.

Carlos doesn’t just show up for our games or events...he shows up because he cares. He’s constantly going out of his way to capture moments, add creative videos, and celebrate our players in the most authentic way. His personality is infectious, his work ethic unmatched, and his passion shines through every frame.

Simply put, Carlos is the MVP — a total legend behind the lens and we are so lucky to have the opportunity to work with him."

FAQ

What types of photos are included?

Media Day sessions typically include a mix of individual player portraits, group or positional photos, and team images. The specific approach is tailored to your program’s needs and how the images will be used.

Are the photos all-inclusive, or is there a per-image fee?

All final, selected images from the Media Day session are included. Keeper images are professionally retouched and delivered through an online gallery, with no per-image fees.

How long does a media day typically take?

Media Day sessions are planned to be efficient and well-paced. The exact timing depends on team size, schedule, and how the images will be used. Additional coverage time can be added if needed.

Where do media day sessions take place?

Media days are usually held at your facility, gym, field, or another agreed-upon location. If a location requires special access or permits, those details are coordinated in advance.

How are the images delivered?

Final images are professionally edited and delivered through a secure online gallery. This makes it easy to download, share, and use images across platforms.

How can the images be used?

Usage depends on the type of organization and how the images are intended to be shared. Most teams and organizations use media day images for websites, social media, schedules, and promotional materials. Full usage details are outlined in the service agreement.

Do you work with large teams or multiple squads?

Yes. I work with teams and organizations of all sizes—from small groups of a dozen participants to large, multi-day media days with hundreds of athletes and staff.

Sessions are planned based on team size, schedule, and goals to ensure everything runs smoothly, regardless of scale.

Will you need access to the location before and after the session?

Yes. Media Day sessions require access to the location prior to the scheduled start time for equipment unloading, setup, and lighting tests, as well as access after the session to safely break down and remove equipment.

This setup and teardown time is not billed as session coverage and is coordinated in advance to ensure the media day runs smoothly and stays on schedule.

Do you help with posing during media day?

Yes. Media Day preparation typically includes a pose guide that can be shared with the team ahead of time to help participants feel more comfortable and prepared. This guide is intended for internal team use only.

Participants are also welcome to gather pose ideas in advance—many teams find it helpful for athletes to reference examples or create a shared Pinterest board before the session.

On the day of the shoot, I provide clear direction and can help guide participants through posing as needed to ensure confident, polished results.

Can we order prints or albums?

Yes. Prints and select products can be ordered directly through the online gallery. You’re also welcome to download your images and use the print lab or provider of your choice.

What if we’re not sure what we need yet?

That’s completely fine. Media Day planning always starts with a conversation to understand your goals and recommend an approach that fits your program.
