Understanding Your Image License

When you book a session with Carlos Sanchez Photography, you are granted a digital image license that defines how your images may be used.

Licenses are tailored to the type of session and are designed to support appropriate personal, professional, or organizational use—while protecting the integrity of the work.

Personal Use License

For personal sessions such as senior portraits, sports portraits, or family photography, the license typically allows for:

• Personal use and sharing
• Posting on personal social media accounts
• Printing for personal display
• Sharing images with friends and family

Images may not be sold, licensed to third parties, or used for commercial resale without prior written consent.

Professional & Organizational Use

For media days, sports organizations, schools, and corporate headshots, licenses may include:

• Use on websites and official social media channels
• Marketing and promotional materials
• Team, school, or organizational branding
• Internal and external communications

Specific usage rights are confirmed at the time of booking to ensure the license matches the intended use.

Attribution

When images are used publicly, appropriate credit to Carlos Sanchez Photography is required unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Attribution helps support the work and is always appreciated.

Commercial & Extended Use

If images are intended for paid advertising, resale, third-party commercial use, or large-scale campaigns, an extended or custom license may be required.

These situations are discussed in advance to ensure clarity and alignment for all parties.

Editing & Modifications

Basic cropping and resizing are permitted. Images may not be heavily altered, filtered, or edited in ways that change the original look or intent without approval.

If alternate crops or adjustments are needed, I’m always happy to assist.

Portfolio, Marketing & Behind-the-Scenes Content

Carlos Sanchez Photography may use select images and behind-the-scenes content from sessions for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes.

Client privacy and representation are always respected. If you have specific concerns or prefer to opt out of behind-the-scenes content, please communicate that in advance so accommodations can be made.
